Private High PR Network Build | Step by Step
Why Have a Private High PR Network?
SEO is changing all of the time. We all know that Google is slapping sites all over the net like so many little redheaded step children. So what are we, the little guy to do about it? How will you be able to keep up with all of the algorithm changes, updates and everything else that goes on in SEO from day to day? Simply put, we don’t! We get ahead of the game!
To succeed in SEO today you need to have your own game. You must have your own way to rank your sites. You need to be in control of your own links. And the only way to do that is with your own private high PR link network. For a long time it was a difficult, time draining and expensive option. And even though it still takes some work, it is a lot easer and cheaper if you know what to do and how to do it.
That is where this series comes in. I’ll show you how to get high PR domains, where you can get the best affordable hosting, and how you can create a network that leaves a minimum footprint. Plus a lot more. And after you create your own high PR network, you can even take things a step further and make some extra cash by selling links to other people!
IP Addresses- What are they and why should I care?
If you are going to have your own private network, then you really need to understand IP addresses and why they are important to you. If you do, then you’ll have the power to make keen decisions about your network set up that others won’t.
Furthermore, knowing at least the basics of IP addresses helps you to figure out the benefits and pitfalls of the many SEO server packages that are currently available on the internet today. This can save you a lot of hassles and even money in the long run.
What I am going to share with you in this chapter will help you understand why you want different class C IPs for your network. And why this matters. But first, let’s get into what IP addresses are.
What’s an IP Address?
So what is an IP address, or Internet Protocol address? IP simply stands for Internet Protocol. Internet Protocol means the way/method that your information is being sent across the internet. (If this stuff is really boring to you, you can skip it. But I’d advise you to at least skim it once or twice.)
The most widely used version of IP today is Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4). But IP Version 6 (IPv6) is also being supported. IPv6 was created with the anticipation of a much larger user base on the internet, which is definitely becoming true.
So the Ipv6 version of IP addresses can provide for much longer addresses and therefore for the possibility of many more Internet users. IPv6 includes the capabilities of IPv4 and any server that can support IPv6 packets can also support IPv4 packets. If you really want to get techie, try this article; http://searchunifiedcommunications.techtarget.com/definition/Internet-Protocol. If you are not an engineer or think like one, I wouldn’t even bother with Wikipedia on this subject. I didn’t even understand the first sentence!
The keyword in IP address is the word address. Think of an IP address as your home street address. Say something like 309 Main Street, Newburgh, NY. Each part of your address is a class. You have the house number, the street name, the town and the state. So it is easier for mail to find you.
The internet is no different. All correspondence between computers needs to find you as well. To make it simpler, just picture yourself in a tiny car driving to another computer. How do you get there? You must have an address of some kind, right? So an IP address is the address of your website.
Example IP address: 67.228.220.134
All IP addresses are broken down into four classes. A class, B class, C class and, as you probably guessed, a D class. The C class is the third from the left, 220. It is this number that Google looks at to determine if the website you are getting a link from is on the same server as the website being linked to.
If they are on the same server, Google assumes you own both of these sites and you are creating a link farm. So either you don’t get the benefits of the link, or worse, the big G penalizes you!
The best option to get around this is to have multiple servers in different parts of the world all linking to your websites. But that would get too expensive and very difficult to manage. Rather, there is what is called class C IP hosting or SEO hosting for short.
